As this is a Digital program, we would like for you to submit your Portfolio as an electronic submission through our website. To do so, you will need to register, upon registration you will be given access to submit a Post to this website using our CMS – WordPress. If you are familiar with blogging, the procedure should be pretty much the same. Here are step by step instructions for how to proceed:
- Create an account or log in to your account for designucd.com
- Your account will be upgraded to allow you to submit a new Post within a day. Contact Bryan at bryan.leister [at] ucdenver.edu if this does not happen.
- Create a new Post and make sure it is in the Application Category
- Embed your images and/or videos into the page using a public and accessible host such as Picasa, Flickr, YouTube or Vimeo.
- Write descriptions into your Post or include the descriptions as part of the public album. Please note: you will need to make your album public so that we can see your images, or provide access to us with a username and password. Provide instructions as part of your application.
- Your application itself will not be public and will be viewable only by Digital Design faculty.
In Picasa, click the 'Link to this Photo' link, and then copy the embed code into your post
For the Sample Portfolio, we used Picasa and embedded each image individually. You can also embed a slideshow with Picasa or other media services. Presentation IS important, please make sure that you preview your Application in more than one browser (this also helps to make sure that the album is in fact public). The video services have similar embedding code. An inline frame ( iframe ) will work very well if you have problems with any of the embedding code not working properly.
